IMC initiated its School of Hope project in the village of Reynel Funez. Partnering with the local public school, IMC identifies and provides education for deserving children whose disadvantaged environments are seriously impacting their ability to develop necessary skills within the school setting. To this end, IMC provides academic and spiritual assistance to children in impoverished areas. IMC ministers to the family’s needs and makes sure that the children have daily hot meals as well as meals to take home to their families.

The IMC program has now expanded to include twenty children, six of whom receive specialized English language training from certified ESL professionals. Local pastors in the commun9ity assist at no cost with spiritual guidance and discipleship efforts.

To meet the growing needs, IMC built a new classroom in January 2020 that continues to need supplies, furniture, paint, and windows.

This project consists in providing academic, integral and spiritual assistance to children in different communities of Honduras, being Tegucigalpa the beginning of this project, specifically in the Reynel Funez neighborhood.

The bases for this project are divided into two parts.

The first phase is to work in depth with each child that is part of the School of Hope, having several activities some days of the week. These activities will reinforce those parts of his life in which the child has a weaker area. To be able to carry out this project we have listed below the next activities:

• Tutorials in the academic level of children.

• Activities for motor development.

• Biblical classes.

• Family counseling (when the case requires it)

• Recreation.

The second phase is to work exclusively with the parents, with the objective of presenting the gospel through the light in the Word of God. Teach them the importance of care and family unity within society. to achieve this, we have activities such as:

• Biblical studies.

• Discipleship

• Family counseling

• Monitoring of families.

In conclusion, our goal is to provide support to the whole family with priority to children, so they can know the Gospel and have knowledge and biblical foundations in their daily lives. Training children to have a better performance in their studies and in their activities at home reflecting Christ in everything they do.

The things we need for the school of hope is the following:

1. Chairs for each student

2. Windows so that dust does not enter the classroom while we have tutorials.

3. A bookcase

4. Three more computers for English classes
